Long ago someone sent me a photo of a Grizzly mother bear hovering over her young cubs. I knew one day I would paint it but I knew I would paint it as I saw her and the cubs, how I felt it. The photo reminded me of how mothers care for their young that are always with them, nurture them, protect them regardless if there is a father around, or not.
