It had been a tough week of sessions and I was weary one Friday evening so I went to bed early. As I lay in bed, with my eyes beginning to get heavy with sleep, I said in a whisper something like “I need help. Someone help.”
Sometime during the night, I was awakened by a warm bright light and something like a crackling sound. I turned toward the source which seemed to be coming from the East wall of the bedroom. From the wall, a figure seemed to step out and come toward me. I felt like I was being enveloped in a peaceful, comforting cocoon.

I couldn’t see the figure’s face, hands, or feet, as only blinding brightness emitted from it in those specific places. The figure was softly moving, almost floating.

I reached out to touch it but I only came close to an incredible comforting warmth. I was never able to touch it.  It quickly retreated back into the wall.
I was fully awake and wondering if I had dreamt it or was it just my brain producing an illusion. I sketched it as best I could and decided some day I would try to paint it.
