Blindsided
(Acrylics: 36x24)
Blindsided

One Sunday morning, I settled down at my desk to read my incoming snail mail.  I found a legal document that set my head to spinning for the remainder of the day. I spent the day experiencing waves of anger and frustration. It was Sunday so there was no opportunity to seek legal advice. That night, I tossed and turned while trying to sleep. Somehow, I managed about 2 hours of sleep. The painting is the result of what I saw when I first awoke. I do not know if I was dreaming or if my mind's eye saw it. I sketched it and then painted it. I was able to resolve the legal issue the next day.
